The old year ended and a New Year started with many fond memories of the past and many hopes for the future. As always, it was great to see old friends at the ASC Annual Flushing Spaniel Show from all over the world and to meet new friends as well with a day of snow, always a grand sight for the Southerners. A real thrill for me was watching Patrick's children and grandchildren moving their way in the classes.
Before we knew it, February was here and with it came snow to the South. Here in south Georgia, where we live, it had not snowed in 21 years. So even a small amount of snow made the front page news of our local newspaper, making a beautiful Valentine's Day scene.
On February 23, a much awaited litter was born in Waco, Texas where it was snowing for the occasion. The proud parents are Paris (CH. San Jo's Born To Shop) and Ryan (CH. Flair-Rill Fire Storming). We have a beautiful litter of 1 r/w boy, 1 b/w boy, 1 r/w girl and 1 b/w girl co-bred with Jonathan Conrad.
Just what does a retired showdog do? He lives the life of "Patrick" and has his own chauffered golf cart. He also goes with Joe on errands and helps with the garden! What next, mowing the lawn?
