As the old year ended with Monica and her Dad, Billy, bringing Riley over for the Eukanuba Show where he won an Award of Excellence, we met them at the airport and were able to spend a bit of time with them. It was good to see Riley again and it seemed as though he might even remember both Joe and I.   

Then the Holidays came and the New Year was upon us.  Soon we were off to Philly where Joe and I attended the Flushing Spaniel Show and did some sightseeing.  Hard to believe but Patrick was now a Veteran and Mike Pitts showed him in that class. 

Then he competed in the Parti Variety under Judge David Kittredge, which he won and then onto the final competition between the other cockers and flushing spaniels.  Mrs. Mary Ann Alston was the Judge for Best In Show and she found Patrick to be her choice for the day.  What a highlight to the beginning of a New Year!

This year there were many fanciers from other countries and it was so good to meet many of them in person for the first time.  It took an International Collaboration of 4 countries to put new batteries into a camera.  LOL!   Irina Tsvetkova came over from Russia to see the show, but to also meet her newest puppy (Walker).  Walker will be going over to her once he has finished his championship here, and his brother will be going to his new owner, Novita Darryanto in Indonesia.  I'm anxious to watch these two boys begin their show careers in 2009.  They are sired by Patrick and out of San Jo's Hide N Seek (Effie).
